In a world devastated by the collapse of energy resources, the Government maintains social order through massive public spectacles where citizens are forced to participate in exchange for food and entertainment. Inside enormous brutalist arenas, participants stand motionless on designated marks while cybernetic sniffer dogs, grotesque hybrids of machine and animal, are released into the space by uniformed organizers. Programmed to detect the slightest suspicious movement, the creatures relentlessly hunt down anyone who breaks the rules, cornering them before they are violently detained and taken away to unknown destinations. It is there that they discover the horrifying truth behind the arenas: those who fail to survive are processed and transformed into the canned food consumed by the very crowds attending the events. What appears to be a grotesque public game gradually reveals itself as a self-perpetuating machinery of control, where fear, spectacle, hunger and consumption sustain the power of the State.
