Unpredictable Duality

This performance video is selected at International Multimedia Performance Festival 2025 (Serbia). Land artist Ichi Ikeda found the unpredictability of water compelling in his "Water Piano." Similarly, I've created a game engine app generating perpetually unique, unpredictable visuals. This work aims to blur these two forms of unpredictability by projecting the app onto water-filled tanks. This act also serves as a method and practice of dissolving the boundary between the digital and the analog. Although this work is rigorously conceptual, it is the result of a resilient and imaginative realization. It stands in striking contrast to both technology-dependent media art and the conventions of classical performance, remaining radically free from either tradition.
