Transmission

Transmission is a short video about communication that breaks down, when something cannot be sent properly, or when it arrives in a form that cannot be fully read. Water acts as a moving carrier of images and messages, while fragments of speech, faces, and interface-like elements appear and disappear without settling into a stable whole. The video refers to UVB-76, the Soviet-Russian radio signal known as “The Buzzer,” it appears in a black-blue screen, whose coded broadcasts have never been decoded. Here, transmission is shown not as clear delivery, but as interference, delay, and loss.
