TRAGEDIAN

How do we manage to endlessly debate a contemporary art joke while consuming a live genocide as entertainment? On the obscenity of a culture that neutralizes human suffering into an endless scroll. Tragedian is a 5-second micro-video capturing the fall of a watermelon, the global visual code used to evade algorithmic censorship regarding Palestine. Its brevity is not aesthetic, but conceptual: it lasts exactly as long as a swipe on social media. The work exposes the greatest manipulation of truth in our era: the digital anesthesia that transforms a live-streamed genocide into ephemeral content, neutralizing pain through the infinite scroll.
