touch – please don't touch

mixed media installation 2-channel video, 4K, loop, sound, 11:47 min (on 55” monitors), floor cushions, hugging pillow, sculpture (silicone), LED light The work “touch – please don’t touch” explores the absence of physical closeness in a present shaped by digital interactions. At its center are two video works created with AI models, staging encounters that shift between intimacy and alienation. The mixed-media installation invites visitors to immerse themselves in a sensuous and intimate atmosphere. Resting on soft floor cushions and embraced by a hugging pillow, they are encouraged to experience the videos and contemplate which forms of closeness, touch, and intimacy remain possible in the post-digital age – and which may already be irretrievably lost.
