The perfect world

The project presents a video installation that invites viewers to reflect on issues of social and environmental sustainability. The leitmotif is a slowly rotating carousel—a metaphor for life and time, but also for vanity and folly. Flashing text encourages viewers to play, imagining a perfect world, while rapid sequences of carousels and fairs unfold, accompanied by electronic music. Gradually, these messages become increasingly ironic, promoting waste and blind faith in consumerism and technology. What begins as a playful experience evolves into a sense of disorientation, ultimately revealing itself as a critique of mass society. The video was shot in various locations in Italy and China. Video and audio were created by the artist.
