The question of the curse and blessing does not stop at art either. In the multimedia work "the hand of god", I address the role of the hand as a tool for artists and the transformation of this meaningful role in the course of an ever-increasing influence of automated, non-human recordings and artificial intelligence (AI) on art. The title refers to Rodin's sculpture, which has been reproduced and reinterpreted many times. Traditionally, the artist's hand was the symbol of his genius: it transferred the spirit to the material. At the same time, the hand is one of the more difficult motifs for AI-based image generators, as it is often depicted incorrectly or distorted. In the history of art, the hand has been a recurring motif that refers both to its symbolic value and to the creative process as such. The work was created in collaboration with various machine learning systems such as speech, image and video generators and was extended by me with handmade sculptures made of silicone.
