The Architecture of Fear

Inspired by China's Neijing Diagram, Zihui transforms the wounded body into surreal landscapes in which bones become mountain ranges and meridians flow like rivers. The work unfolds through seven symbolic spaces that viewers visually traverse, echoing an internal psychological journey. By adopting a fairyland-like aesthetic, she contrasts softness and fantasy with underlying themes of fear and vulnerability, creating a contained and seemingly safe environment for confronting discomfort.
