Stable Delusion

Stable Delusion is a multisensory installation based on experiments with generative AI imagery. Using AI image-generation technology as its primary medium, the work rapidly fuses, fragments, and recombines a large number of heterogeneous images, producing a visual torrent detached from established meaning and logic. Throughout the creative process, the AI continuously generated uncanny images that felt strangely familiar yet remained unrecognizable, drawing the artist into an addictive state akin to variable-ratio reinforcement. The work seeks to transform this technologically driven sense of disorientation, trance, and self-depletion into a spatial experience that viewers can physically and perceptually inhabit. Through the combined effects of strobing imagery, a dense visual environment, and bodily vibration, it presents a psychological state of sensory overload and the collapse of meaning.
