Silence, 2024, Single-channel video, China/Belgium/VirtualWorld, HD, Color, 1 min. Silence is a one-minute dystopian work created entirely with Generative AI, using photographs captured during an artistic residency with the K11 Foundation and ArtReview in Wuhan, China, as its foundation. These images were transformed through AI into a visual and auditory exploration of a present shaped by control and acceleration, where introspection is increasingly absent. The work’s abrupt structure and fragmented narrative reflect the rapid storytelling of contemporary social media. By embracing AI in every aspect of its creation, Silence questions the possibilities and limits of narrative in a society that restricts slowness and reflection
