 2020 Ricchezza is the name of the protagonist of the video and at the same time the symbolic key to the entire work: a celebration of the strength, freedom, and resilience of the feminine. The work originates from a deep fascination with the figure of the woman as an autonomous, creative being, capable of transformation and regeneration. Ricchezza is a fashion designer who works with reclaimed silk fabrics – fragile and precious materials – which, in the video, become her second skin. Lying naked on a beach, initially wrapped in these fabrics, the woman slowly begins to move, crawling across the sand. During this journey – both physical and symbolic – she continuously changes “skin,” shedding one layer after another, until she reaches the sea. The water marks a moment of palingenesis: here, finally freed from the drapes, the protagonist is reborn – pure, strong, essential. The video is a poetic act of liberation and transformation, an homage to feminine identity.
