www.nacocako.com instagram: @nacoca.ko Project Assistants: Alan Ixba Anne Brotman-krass During the pandemic, train rides captured through the dreamlike Nception app, documented a sensation of apocalypse, the collapse of an old world, and the beginning of a new one. The sound incorporates an AI GAN iteration of some surveilled birds nesting near the artist’s home, along with human observations. GAN birds fly over the landscapes, with a fantasy of flight. Inspired by Stanisław Lem’s reflections on artificial intelligence, the work considers the idea that to escape the limits of one’s own intelligence (to fly), one must first have a fantasy of flight.
