Prove di contatto con la natura

Performance and site-specific installation 2025 Prove di contatto con la natura (Attempts of getting touch with nature) is a performance born from the need to re-establish a deep and empathetic relationship with the environment that surrounds us. The work presents itself as both a symbolic and concrete gesture: an invitation to develop greater sensitivity towards nature and, through it, towards others. Using the cyanotype technique, I work with photosensitive paper to record real traces of contact with natural elements – leaves, branches, grass, organic substrates – always with full respect for the balance of the places. The sheets are delicately placed in spots where nature suggests a possibility of encounter: it is not an invasive gesture, but a form of listening. The final stage of the process is cathartic: I physically immerse myself in the river to rinse the sheets and reveal the latent images. The water thus becomes an element of passage and transformation: it is the water that brings forth the imprint of nature, making visible what was a respectful, authentic contact. Prove di contatto con la natura is a slow, ritual practice, a poetic act that questions our ability to inhabit the world with care. It is an invitation to listen, to touch without taking, to see without possessing.
