Project #001 {video recording}
This video recording took place at an underpass near a local train station. To create the soundscape, I first designed some synth sounds in Ableton. These sounds were then recorded onto a cassette tape, which added a warm, analog texture. Using a Marantz tape recorder, I manipulated the playback speed to create varied and intriguing audio effects. As the synthesized sounds filled the underpass, my colleagues and I moved around the space with a shotgun microphone. We captured the ambient sounds, both near and far from the source, creating a layered and immersive audio experience. This process allowed us to blend the synthetic and natural sounds, resulting in a rich and dynamic auditory landscape that complements the visual elements of the recording
