Post Gratiam: De Occasu Occidentis Triptych – 3 digitally born images, 100×100 cm, 2026 This triptych examines the West's self-image in a phase of historical and ideological exhaustion. The works are composed in dialogue with Western Christian altarpiece tradition and religious iconography, but the motifs have been displaced: the story of salvation has been replaced by systemic decay. It is no longer the body of Christ that is carried, crowned, or exalted — it is the Western system itself. AI has been used as an image-making method because the technology itself is a product of the same civilizational logic the works critique. Artificial intelligence operates through the accumulation, archiving, and recombination of vast quantities of images — a digital cabinet of curiosities. To let AI generate these scenes is therefore not a stylistic choice, but a conceptual one: the images are produced by the very infrastructure they thematize. They are both critique and symptom.
