šŒ˜šŒ„šŒ“šŒ”šŒ– [pher-su:] , is a telematic digital artwork and an experimentation in the navigation of the web around the making and masking of the self in the digital realm. PHERSU took its form as a labyrith-like website as equal parts a travelogue, a game, an exercise in digital story telling, archiving and e-poetry. It’s a collage, a sythesis of things read, seen and found. Most of all: an experiment in self-projection into the cyberspace and interactivity between the inner and the outer, the flesh and the screen. Accessible through three (or more) connected computers, PHERSU.NET proposes a non-linear exploration of a webspace as a territory to inhabit. Visitors navigate anonymously through a constellation of experimental pages: a simulation of š•ƒš”øā„‚š•†ā„•š•€š”øā„• OS, a fictional mailbox, 3D worlds (šŽš‘šš‡š„š”š’), temporal drifts, and navigation-based experiments. The project diverts and reinterprets data streams drawn from APIs (Google, Wikipedia, Instagram, aswell as its own algorithms), revealing sometimes hidden relations between certain denominations. By replaying and bending the logics of the network, it attempts to subvert the appropriation of the Internet by large platforms while reactivating the web’s experimental and interactive dimension. Between an archaeology of HTML and speculative fiction, PHERSU.NET operates as a living collage where data, imaginary, and navigation become critical material; emerging in a time marked by devastating wars, algorithmic propaganda, and ongoing genocides that shape the information landscapes we inhabit. šŒ˜šŒ„šŒ“šŒ”šŒ– has been presented for the first time to an audience at Centro Cultural Penedo da Saudade (Coimbra, Portugal) and has been awarded Best Submission during the Processing Community Day:"TechFolk: Algorithmic Traces of Folkloric Cultures" events and exhibition.
