PESHETTYS' LIBERTY

A marine tableau where elegant schools of eye-fish drift freely — except for those trapped inside a large orange sphere — a transparent prison holding Peshettys stripped of their fins/lashes. At its edge, they peer outward, while free mouths deprived of their complement attempt to reach back. The work reflects on the fragile balance between ornament and meaning, confinement and freedom.
