PASAJE
This is a contemplative and reflective audiovisual work that invites us to embark on an almost dreamlike journey. On this journey, we perceive an organism on the verge of explosion, suspended and frozen in nothingness. We witness the first atomic bomb and its unfolding in space-time. This event marked a logarithmic increase in human activity as a geophysical force, which had and continues to have global historical significance for humanity and for any life form that may be affected by it, and marks a geological period of great magnitude in Earth's history. In the work, we perceive the universe unfolding in space-time, like an ocean of temporality that rotates in a circular and enveloping way. It functions like a spider web, a spider web in which we are immersed. In this spider web, we find an overwhelming presence... a turbulence within the current represented in this physical form that we see in the work and that constantly mutates, never remaining the same. Don't we see ourselves reflected in this web? As if it were a mirror? We live immersed in the light and shadow that govern the universe; WE ARE light and shadow. PASSAGE attempts to represent us in our deepest states, because it is then that we connect with the whole. The images were created with TouchDesigner (nodal programming), Blender (3D modeling), and personal video files subjected to various digital processes and programmed manipulation. The generated sound creates the harmony of the narrative, emphasizing specific moments and revealing the complexity at every level.
