OUT TO LUNCH

OUT TO LUNCH (2017) is a perceptual short circuit built around the concept of the fourth wall: the invisible boundary separating the spectator’s reality from the space of representation. Within an apparently stable everyday environment, something gradually begins to fall out of sync. Conceived as a 1’19’’ loop, the video continuously repeats itself, transforming familiarity into disturbance. Ordinary gestures, recognizable spaces, and predictable behaviors become progressively contaminated by instability, where the logic of reality slowly loses its reliability. Rather than representing madness, OUT TO LUNCH stages a perceptual system no longer able to synchronize with itself. The fourth wall ceases to protect the viewer: what appears pathological may suddenly become normal — and vice versa.
