Ocupados: Haciendo la ciudad autoconstruída

Fragment of a landscape to contemplate social property in the nearby Caribbean. A site-specific painting installation that brings together 9 medium-format paintings, depicting 9 occupied and socially-owned buildings located in downtown Caracas. The work features and is integrated with a documentary video art piece where a voiceover narrates how a pioneers' camp occupies a vacant lot to develop a self-managed housing project. (This work was created inside an occupied building, expropriated and refurbished by its current inhabitants.)
