My Love (Part of the "Kinetic Linocut" series)
This piece belongs to a series of first-person linocuts capturing the profound yet simple moments of my life. Created for my 10th wedding anniversary, it reflects on 15 years of partnership — the delicate balance of deep intimacy and the preservation of one’s independent identity through personal passions. To me, love is exactly that: remaining yourself while being inextricably linked to another. Every hour spent carving this linocut was a meditation on the ups and downs of our marriage. This internal reflection manifested in nervous, jittery lines and a trembling background. By animating the print through Generative AI, I sought to preserve this rhythm: the meetings and partings, the distance and the closeness, and the restless whirlwind of our everyday lives.
