MICROCOSMOS

“Microcosmos” is a documentary about life in the post-Soviet neighborhood of Polovky in Poltava, Ukraine filmed at the end of 2021. The artist roams the neighborhood as an astronaut. She talks with residents of Polovky about their dreams, life, and childhood memories in these yards. After meeting the residents, the artist performs at a stadium, launching their dreams out to space. Without intending to, MICROCOSMOS became a community portrait of Ukrainians' lives just before the outbreak of the war.
