Lucid Dream

Lucid Dream explores the blurred boundary between reality and imagination, reflecting my personal fascination with lucid dreaming — the state where dreamers are aware of their dreams and can consciously influence them. The video is inspired by a location near the city where I was born, reimagined through the lens of a dreamlike experience. At the heart of the piece is a surreal wooden path that floats and moves over a swamp, creating an environment that feels both familiar and unsettling. The hyperrealistic visual style of the surroundings contrasts with the unnatural movement of the path, staging a constructed reality that the viewer experiences as genuine — until something breaks the spell. Like the strange occurrences in dreams that seem normal until closely examined, the work invites viewers to question what they're witnessing, and by extension, how much of what we perceive as real is simply a version of reality we've chosen to believe.
