Límite
Límite is an audiovisual piece inspired by cellular automata, such as John Conway's Game of Life, that exposes how we construct reality by delegating reason, memory, and imagination to systems that exceed us. The work presents an unbodied subjectivity that acquires narrative will through an infinite feedback loop. A false witness: an invented archive that reveals the fragility of what we call real. We follow this entity through an exponentially complex process of self-organization, intuiting that beyond the threshold lies something that overflows individual perception: the collapse of every symbol, the naked pulse of the immeasurable. The shining, the monolith, the angel, our fabricated monuments of the technological sublime. The piece functions as a critical gesture in resonance with Fredric Jameson: an attempt to read structures not designed to be read by us, to trace a sensory map of the power that produces and reproduces reality. It places the viewer before the vertigo of a change of order, where the machine becomes both subject and representation, exposing the constructed nature of what we accept as truth.
