Kyiv

The film explores the inner void of a person who suddenly lost their peaceful life. It tells the story of an artist trapped in a besieged city, engulfed by solitude, detachment, and the inability to express himself during such a difficult time. Filming took place in April 2022 in Kyiv and captures the first days of being in a city under threat, as the army advanced and semi-encircled it. Empty streets, anti-tank obstacles, ruined buildings—and an overwhelming sense of being lost. Yet, there was still hope for a return to the recent, familiar normalcy. Starring dancer Nikita Buiny.
