Homo Staticus
Homo Staticus (2026) A visual film from the ‘v → ∞’ series Trapped within the "Grid", an all-encompassing surveillance net the performer falls into a state of "Carbon Stasis," unable to keep up with the system's overwhelming velocity. Beneath the crushing weight of the soundscape, the terror of becoming even more precisely taxidermied into data the moment they try to escape triggers severe panic and physical paralysis. This friction with the system ultimately erupts into a chaos of glitches and bodily spasms, even after the noise cuts out, the memory of surveillance remains etched as scars, leaving behind only the helpless, exhausted presence of a living organism. Rather than achieving victory or transcendence, the physical body remains a sorrowful reality that stubbornly stands its ground, refusing to evaporate into data.
