heliodromus

Heliodromus is a video work set in a World of Warcraft environment, exploring the city as a fractal entity of recursive intelligence, decay, and memory. Employing AI-generated visuals (Stable Diffusion’s img2img), the piece narrates an ontological descent through symbolic figures and ritualistic stages influenced by Yuk Hui’s theories on cosmotechnics and xenotechnics. Reflecting themes of agency, sacrifice, and temporal fragmentation, Heliodromus depicts the city as a consuming, recursive force, where existence is ritualistically unmade and remade.
