Genealogy of Post-Anthropogenic Artifact

As industrialization and technology advance, the boundary between natural ecosystems and human-made systems grows increasingly blurred. Man-made objects infiltrate natural environments, extending human occupation, while nature quietly counteracts—weathering, corroding, and covering these objects over time. This reciprocal erosion reveals the tension between humans and nature, and shows how time acts as a mediator, detaching objects from their original function and reassigning new meanings. The project unfolds along this shifting boundary, focusing on man-made artifacts that have been eroded, reclaimed, and partially “rewilded” by nature. It explores how their material form and embedded memory evolve through this slow transformation.
