From the Outside, From Within

Shot on the outskirts of Rome, in Corviale, between September and October 2022, the images offer a glimpse of immense and frightening architecture. From outside and inside, there is a lack of reference points, and it is easy to get lost or feel isolated. At first, the concrete margins, the spaces of social disintegration, become blurred urban voids in which only sporadic characters wander. Yet, imparting movement to them, the architectures themselves appear alive, complex in their stillness, companions of the primitive sound of their surroundings. The kaleidoscope of structures recalls that of the people, solitary at first, then in groups, who traverse it, only they in the end know how to bring nature back where it seemed to be no more.
