PERPETUAL SCARS

"PERPETUAL SCARS" is an art/media project aimed at promoting disarmament, specifically focusing on knives in Great Britain.

The sculpture depicts scars from stabbings on its scales and angles, symbolizing the prevalence of knife-related crimes and incidents in South London. These scars are represented abstractly on a monolithic structure.

Additionally, a database will be created containing information about both the perpetrator and the victim. This database will be accessible online and will include details about the incidents, their consequences, impacts on families and communities, various testimonials, and associated costs. It will cover aspects such as their lives, outcomes, and the social and political reactions to the incidents/accidents.

The monolith itself will be constructed using cement and metal.
