Epimethean

Epimethean uses a 'datamosh' algorithm to create visual echoes—holding onto fragments of earlier frames from road trip footage and merging them with new frames. Mobile positioning data from the journey influences how these temporal layers combine, creating a shifting memory of the Australian landscape. The artwork explores how memory is shaped by algorithms, databases, and distributed across multiple digital environments making such recollections collective, hybrid and shared.
