ENGRAMME

ENGRAMME arises from an intimate question: what do we do with everything we think, learn, remember? I place the text over the head because that is where I imagine the essential is kept. Words, ideas, and thoughts do not exist outside us—they settle in the mind, leave traces, and transform us, gently or with weight. I am drawn to that silent gesture of carrying knowledge as one carries something deeply cherished. I approach portraiture as an act of care. Each image is a pause, a breath, a space where thought can be held with tenderness. I am not interested in illustrating ideas, but in offering a place where the inner can rest, become visible, and be sustained. For me, ENGRAMME is a form of love toward the mind, memory, and everything that inhabits us without asking permission. ENGRAMME The trace of thought when knowledge remains, rests upon the head, and learns to inhabit the body with care.
