The video was inspired by Mathieu Karsenti's piano compositions, which were inspired by the great French perfumer Serge Lutens, who created the fragrance Douce-amère. This fragrance offers contrasts of sweet and bitter notes, happiness and sadness, and is both exciting and touching. The bitterness appears in dissonant accents, taking its time to reveal its sweetness. This dichotomy is explored in abstract strands, evoking internal conflicts that we sometimes examine with tenderness. Sweetness takes precedence over bitterness, becoming exhilarating and intoxicating, but with an underlying melancholy that balances this vivid and paradoxical sensation.
