CONTROL CLUB
CONTROL CLUB is a real-time CGI work staged as immersive audiovisual theatre within a circular screen architecture driven by a game engine. It constructs a bright, frictionless world of digital landscapes, information highways, and algorithmic factories — a reality that feels coherent, seductive, and continuously alive. Rather than presenting control as visible prohibition, the work examines how synthetic environments make guidance feel natural. Through screen switching, rotational viewing, and shifting focal points, CONTROL CLUB turns spectatorship into a bodily negotiation: viewers must turn, reorient, and move closer, while their gaze is quietly routed along predesigned paths. Editing happens not only in time, but in space. The work approaches the engine as both medium and model. Seamless surfaces, rhythmic cues, and responsive feedback produce a sense of credibility akin to interface-based truth: what is rendered smoothly is more easily accepted, inhabited, and obeyed. In this environment, pleasure, optimisation, and submission become difficult to separate. Reality here is not something fixed or given, but something continuously assembled through circulation, repetition, and sensory reward. What first appears immersive and self-directed gradually reveals itself as a managed system with no clear exit.
