Cloudless Over Hydra

The sky above Hydra is always cloudless, a surreal image. A digital camera moves through a corridor, peering into closed, intimate rooms where 3D scans of objects found throughout the city merge into impossible compositions and new aesthetic forms. The work draws inspiration from surrealism and liminal spaces, finding its strength in the tension between the island’s beauty and its marginal counterpart, made of traces, discarded fragments, and silence. Meaning emerges through the persistence of objects suspended between these two extremes: symbols inspired by Hydra yet rooted in everyday elements, placed within paradoxical and absurd scenarios.
