Break The Matrix - a #LiquidExpo Film

The concept for Break The Matrix began with a dynamic briefing that aimed to challenge conventional perceptions and immerse viewers in a world that feels both futuristic and immediate. The initial vision centered around capturing the essence of Marian Flow’s music—bold, rebellious, and rhythmically intense—while visually conveying a journey through a surreal, tech-driven world. The development process was deeply collaborative. Carolina Damasceno and Ale Padilla approached the project with a blend of traditional film techniques and experimental digital tools. The #LiquidExpo team embraced visual motifs inspired by the idea of “breaking through” the confines of virtual spaces, using glitch effects, neon-lit aesthetics, and layered textures to portray a digital rebellion. We experimented extensively with visual effects and LED lighting techniques, building a narrative that harmonizes with the track’s build-ups and drops. The digital elements were crafted with attention to every detail, from the color grading to the movement of each scene, creating a mesmerizing rhythm between sound and visuals. The result is a music video that transcends simple storytelling, making Break The Matrix a full-sensory experience that invites viewers to question their digital identities. This project was an exciting leap forward in #LiquidExpo’s mission to create transformative, narrative-rich visuals that resonate in the era of digital art.
