brackish

Brackish is a short essay film that examines issues of memory and image-making through various camera sources, editing, voice over, and expressionistic sound design. The footage was shot during my time in residence at Tofte Lake Center near the Boundary Waters in northern Minnesota. Edited after the residency in my home in Minneapolis, the experience of memory and recall is juxtaposed with the experience of shooting the footage live. Brackish screened at Franconia 5-Minute Festival in 2023 and at Movospace as part of a Left Field Projects screening in 2024.
