Berlin’s Techno Heterotopia

Berlin’s Techno Heterotopia is a project installation that explore Berlin’s techno culture as a form of post-industrial resistance; a space for processing historical trauma and imagining futuristic utopias. Today, the city faces Clubsterben, the “death of clubs” caused by gentrification, rising costs, and commodification. This threatens the authenticity and survival of these cultural spaces. Yet techno began as a liberated zone, a refuge for diversity and marginalized communities.
