An army of Him

In Dimitris Gkikas's video work "An army of Him," Salvador Dalí is multiplied. The image—popularized by the Netflix series about the robbery of the Royal Mint of Spain—has become a global symbol of resistance in the world of hyper-liberal postmodernism. This symbol, laden with ironic potential, is used by Gkikas to construct a digital army—a metamorphosing composition of pop-up windows.
