إذا كان لا بد أن أموت - If I must die - Si quiero vivir

A tribute to the Palestinian people, to their children and poets. Drawing on the principle of progressive resonance used in "I’m Sitting in a Room" by Alvin Lucier, I perform an inverse operation on the poem "If I Must Die" by the Palestinian poet Refaat Alareer (†2023), recited in Arabic by Ibrahim Yaghi. The work explores the murmur in its most painful sense: an imaginary underground that seeks to resurrect the martyr poet from the cavernous memory, returning to his words a clarity as sharp as dawn. Note: this artwork has been uploaded as a video to instill the idea of murmur, of listening in darkness as a form of auscultation. It is also recommended that the listener listens to it with the lights off.
