7 Planets

The video "7 Planets" is part of my multilayered art project entitled "KS-250388". The whole project represents a speculative space expedition from which I "bring back" artifacts: samples of alien flora, fragments of biomes, landscape sketches, and models of devices from highly advanced civilizations. A time machine, a teleporter, an antenna for insights, a telepathic adapter, a luck generator - presented in the form of assembled sculptures from found objects - these are symbols of the superpowers that humanity has long dreamed of. My project is a playful take on a futuristic utopia with elements of self-irony. The video "7 Planets' is a reconstruction of the memory of a journey through the imagined seven planets of the cosmic sector KS-250388. The landscapes of seven planets overlap and fade, added with my animated drawings like mirages or illusions, as if in a dream or digital simulation. The landscapes also include the images of the founded artifacts (super devices), that the viewer "collects" during the journey like a bonus in a computer game. This work was created with the participation of artist Nata Laperdina, who contributed as a camera operator.
