A Cyberoptic Dream-Fugue

A Cyberoptic Dream-Fugue

A Cyberoptic Dream-Fugue unfolds as a video-based investigation into perception under contemporary technological conditions. Through moving image, the series examines how cameras, screens, and algorithmic systems do not simply document reality, but actively reorganize it. Filmed in Nairobi, the city is approached as a cybernetic field — where infrastructure, atmosphere, and myth converge to shape sensory experience. Within this field, vision is no longer neutral, but conditioned, distributed, and subtly engineered. Structured as a fugue, the works operate through repetition, variation, and disruption — allowing perception to loop, fracture, and reconfigure itself over time. At its core, the series asks: If spirit has been externalized into technological systems, can perception be ritualized again from within them? Not as a return, but as an infiltration.
